HELLO...

GETTING TO KNOW YOU
It's a very ancient saying,
But a true and honest thought,
That if you become a teacher,
By your pupils you'll be taught.
As a teacher I've been learning (You'll forgive me if I boast)
And I've now become an expert,
On the subject I like most. Getting to know you.
Getting to know you, getting to know all about you.
Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me.
Getting to know you, putting it my way, But nicely,
You are precisely, My cup of tea.
Getting to know you, Getting to feel free and easy.
When I am with you, Getting to know what to say
Haven't you noticed Suddenly I'm bright and breezy
Because of all the beautiful and new Things
I'm learning about you Day by day
I really love this song, which is actually one of the several songs contain in the musical movie of The King and I. It was a classic movie about Mrs. Anna Leonowens who was an English lady who taught the children of King Mongkut of Siam. It was indeed a nice movie, though it was a classic, I always enjoy watching it.
After a long holiday ( about 3 months ), I had to admit feeling a little bit nervous going to the classes during the first meeting. Except DTK 6, this semester I did not get to teach my previous students. It was rather intimidating going to DAT 2A and 2B on Monday. I planned to carry out some communicative activities with the students. Alhamdulillah... everything went smoothly as planned and the children looked happy ( I supposed ).
I am quite busy with my Quality works as well as translation of PSAS portal tasks. At the same time, I am pretty much preocccupied with the time table and my Masters project. Next week ( 22 - 25 July 2008 ), I will be away for the CPCM course ( Creative Thinking ) in PSA... Guess there'll several replacement classes to be done...

NEW SEMESTER NEW PLAN NEW FACES...EVERYTHING NEW

July 2008 semester began on the 07th July with me involving in the registration process for the Semester One students. I came across several students with good English result. To name a few, I met Azmir, an Orang Asli student from Ipoh who obtained A1 for both his English and GCE O Level plus his EST.

The other thing that I realised was most of the students scored good grade in their Mathematics. So hey... what are all the fuss about teaching Maths and Science in English that was said to be uneffective?

The next day, I was quite busy with the senior students' registration. Several of my PA students did not turn up for the registration due to their personal problems.

The whole week I was quite preoccupied with preparing the materials for FRP briefing as well as going through the new Quality documents.

It seems that I will be teaching Semester 2, 3 and 6 in both Commerce and Electrical Department.

GOOD BYE...

Yesterday ( Thursday ) Jihan and I went to JJ and we had Roasted Chicken Salad at Kenny Rogers Roaster. We talked about a lot of things and basically had fun.

Then, as Jihan and Aida went down to interview a girl, I continued printing the Genpak Desa's leaflet. I managed to print about 250 copies of the leaflet and handed them over to Jihan.

We took pictures together and as Richard was upstairs, he joined us for the shoot. I packed all my things and felt quite sad to leave Wisma Penyayang. Mizah said it was " poyo " of me to feel that way. I should face the fact that knowing and leaving would be one of the parts and parcel of life. I don't have any issue with that but I am like that. Like I always tell her, I'm sucks at farewells.

There is nothing else to do today... There are some teenie weenie last touch ups to do as to email Aida, Jihan and Kelvin informing some updates such as :
a. my log in and password - for Vanessa's purpose'
b. my e-mail and phone no. to be contacted
c. latest updates of the interstitials and future Malaysian English programme
d. forward proposal for Robocon ( ?? )

So, I guess...

Good bye...Wisma Penyayang
Good Bye... AESB
Farewell...TVIQ

Till we meet again and may Allah bless all of you...
Thanks for sparing a space for me to learn a lot of new things and thanks for making me feel as part of the team

Yesterday, I joined Jihan and Azlina during lunchtime and we went to Cara Kampung Restaurant. We met Namanzee, Khairul Mizan, Ati and Raqim and we had our lunch together.

Later, I browsed through the internet doing some research works and Jihan asked me to help her in producing the leaflet for Gempak Desa.

Earlier I called up Ilyas to wish him Happy Birthday and later talked to Mizah. Aida told us about her experience in Jakarta.

This morning, we still worked on the leaflet thingy and started to get very annoyed because the more we try to mend things, the more the leaflet looks odd...

Today I planned to do last touch ups to my things and pack them up. Tomorrow will be my last day and today will be my last meeting with Jihan. Sedih la jugak...

NEW THING AT THE END OF THE ROAD...

On Monday, Jihan taught me on how to check the status and version of scheduled programme through the IBMS system. Though it was tedious ( because the system was slow ) but it was great because I got to know how to check for the status of TX ( either it's ready or not ).

Today, I'm not sure what will be assign to me or maybe I'll just spend my day packing up my things... Hu hu... I have only 2 days more here... I received a mail reminding me to keep myself free on Friday because it seems that they will be organising Farewell as well as Birthday treat for me in Le Meridien this Friday...

Jihan told me about the meeting this afternoon with Nizam regarding the presentation for Focus sessions last two weeks.

SHOOTING...

Yesterday ( 24 June 2008 ) I had an on location assignment. Aida had been away for 4 days and will only be back from Jakarta in the evening. Jihan had to attend meetings so it was only me who was available to accompany Javerd and his team for the shooting.

At 11 am, we met up at the entrance of National Science Centre. Azra from Smart Reader Worldwide came a little bit later and directed us to the Quantum Auditorium which will be the location for the Spelling Challenge Writing Contest and there will be another auditorium for the oral section but we cannot get into the hall since there was a conference going on.

Azra explained about the whole event. Basically, Smart Reader Spelling Challenge is designated for 4- 6 young kids and there will be two parts; oral and written. Written will only be about 5 minutes and oral will take longer time. There will be regional level where every centre, nation wide will carry out the contest and the best from each state will be competing in Kuala Lumpur on the 3rd July. What's so special about this event is the kids will not be spelling words as it is normally done but they will do phonics spelling. The children will have to spell the words in English, Malay and Mandarin.

We then decided to meet up at Smart Reader Worldwide's headquarters at 2.00 pm because Javerd will be doing Dr. Wang's interview shoot. When we met up later, Javerd thought of asking me to ask questions to Dr. Wang as if in normal interview session but Azra told us that Dr. Wang has her speech ready and will just speak to the camera. Phew!!! that's better...

Having the opportunity to be involved in such situation was a good and beneficial experience. Every aspect is crucial in a shooting...lighting, angle and even noise... We had to switch off the air cond because it distracted the sound reception...

WOW...IT'S THRILLING...

On Friday, I concentrated on the viewing tasks. Jihan handed over a compilation of TWIN FARM Dvds and informed that RL wanted us to watch the show because he produced them.
We agreed that anything that has twins will always be interesting though they are in BEng.

I went to a Malay stall for lunch and had rice with ikan singgang and daging goreng... Later, as I reached the office, Jasbir called up and informed that somebody wanted to see me. I went down and saw Zahrul, the producer of This is IT was waiting for me at the lobby.

He passed the tape and a copy of This is IT ( first ep ) in CD form. I went up and watched it with Jihan. There has been several changes such as better music and graphic and we kind of like them.

It was so thrilling to see my name appeared on the credit list. Fuuuuhhhh...it was so satisfying though I'm a little bit shy since I didn't involved in the project from the beginning... Thank you...

On Saturday, we went to Midvalley with the children. Kakak Ya was so happy as we took the train and the kids enjoyed themselves. It was funny to see them sleeping all the way back, I guess because they were tired. It was not that frequent we got to see Abang Khaizu in his extra jovial mood.

As requested by the kids and abang Khaizu, I prepared nasi minyak for Sunday lunch. Syamil said macam pergi kenduri kawin. Later, at about 4 Syamil had his second lunch... I was about to start ironing the clothes, last evening when I realised there were a lot of kids in front of the house. I went out to get some clothes peg and was so shocked when I heard Syamil's cried informing that somebody hit him with the rounder's bat.

He was bleeding and his cheek at the lower part of his left eye was swollen. I took him inside and abang Khaizu looked at the wound. He told us that he was watching the kids playing rounders when one of the boys hit the ball and later threw the bat before he started running... He was so upset because the other kids were blaming him for sitting too near to the batting corner... His father put some medication and asked him to rest...

Kakak Ya and adik Naeim loves to fight with each other. I find it very difficult to get them to sit or lie down together without them ending up in a big fight. Nowadays, adik Naeim is good at fighting back. he would pull the sister's hair or pinch the sister hard on her face or hand...

Whatever it is, they are the most precious jewel to me... my lovely children Syamil Nuqman, Shahirah Nafeesa and Syakir Naeim

THANK YOU AND THANK YOU...

I received a call from Mr. Kesavan at about 11.50 in the morning. He informed me that he was in Seri Kembangan town and whether he lost the way. He said he saw the signage to Equine Park and I told him to just drive straight up until he reached the Jaya Jusco and from there I'll lead him the way.

Pn. Masitah texted me informing that she'll be here by 2.30pm and later when Mr. Kesavan called to tell me that he's in Wisma Penyayang but need to get some lunch...I told him to take his time since Pn. Masitah will be here only at 2.30pm

The session went on smoothly and I was so happy when Mr. Kesavan informed he was happy with the good impression given by my supervisor about me.

Indeed I have learnt a lot of things since I came here and it was such a good, beneficial and meaningful experience.

Thank you Aida and Jihan for teaching me a lot

Thank you Richard for being a good and understanding boss ( though I seldom had a chat with you )

Thank you Liza who makes me feel as if I'm part of the team

Thank you JPPKK and PSAS for giving me this opportunity

Thank you Mas and Mr. K for coming all the way to do the visitation

UPDATES ...

On Tuesday ( 18 June 2008 ), I was informed that Puan Masitah and Mr. Keseven will be coming on Thursday for the Attachment visitation. Yesterday ( 19 June ) I spent my morning updating and organising all the materials that I've done throughout the session.

Jihan asked whether I can assist her in writing a letter to Microsoft regarding Gempak Desa. I wrote the draft and passed it to her to be checked. Later, Aida added more points and Jihan then mailed it to Microsoft.

Realising that Pn. Mas and Mr. K might have problems locating AESB, I asked if Jihan had a copy of the map to Wisma Penyayang. Later she informed that she had forwarded the map to my outlook. I knew she must have asked from somebody else.

Aida, Jihan and Richard have been so nice to me for the past 3 months of my stay here... I managed to learn a lot of things because they are always kind enough to share whatever knowledge and skills that they have...

I know, I will miss the fun and new experiences that I've gained here...

BITTER SWEET

TUESDAY ( 18 JUNE 2008 )

Yesterday ( 17.06 ) I managed to hand in the complete programme brochures to Aida and forwarded a copy to Jihan. Then I continued my day by doing extended research for the holidays and celebrations but this time only concentrating in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Later in the evening, Aida asked me to check a letter which she wrote on coming up with proposal for a new project for ASTRO Malaysia and Indonesia.

Received a phone call from Kak Fariza requesting me to print the option 58 form and to be sent to PSAS. Asked Aida whether I can go to PSAS tomorrow and she gave her consent.

I spent my Tuesday in PSAS meeting Kak Fariza and attending the Voices of Technicals sharing session. Basically we have reached the objective of the course though some participants were not happy because they could not accept the truth that have been revealed by one of the speaker on their role as lecturers.

OOHHH... SO EXCITING!!!

I spent my morning on the brochure's project. Managed to finish everything by lunch time. I am quite frustrated when I recieved an email from a representative of CfBT in Brunei informing that they only required teachers who have UK background.

I really hoped that I'll get some good news soon from UNESCO... I need to get out of here... ugh... I mean Malaysia...

Aida informed me that TVIQ will be involved in so many exciting and big projects in the future... It is depressing since I'm leaving soon... Aida is going to Jakarta this Friday to discuss further about the M3 project and also for the Keep It Wild shoot...

It seems that The Smart TVIQ programmes will only be teasers and the actual things will only be aired next year... Aida was a bit dissappointed because as she told me, they were not informed earlier about the change of decision.

Allah...
Give me a chance to try something different and new

Allah ...
fulfill all my request because you are the Most Powerful and Generous... There is no other place for me to ask except to you...

Amin Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin

BILALAH KITA NAK BELAJAR ...

It has been a while since I last write in this blog of mine. The day before ( June, 11 ) I was quite busy viewing the VHS and burning the pilot videos.

Yesterday, as I reached the office, I started to work on the filler project. Aida said I must be busy with something since I was so quite... I managed to mail 16 copies of the proposal for the filler to Aida and Kelvin...

By noon, I was quite hungry and ate my nasi lemak ( which was suppose to be my breakfast ) and Aida later spotted me browsing the McDonald's website. We then decided to go to McD at about 4 but pretended that we were off to a meeting...

Enough of the routine reporting thing... Now, back to reality...

Though I had a very memorable session in Sabah, an incident occurred that basically ripped all my excitement and happiness... I just do not understand why some people can be so spiteful. Its as if you are deliberately back stabbing someone who is ought to be your friend. Friendship can be literally be so deceiving...

Throughout my time out of the campus... I learnt a lot of things... Sincerity, loyalty, willing to learn, hatred, vengenace and many more with in turn hep in maturing me...

It's actually very painful to put everything in writing...but I know this is the only way for me to voice out my feelings....

Allah...

Allah...
jadikan aku orang yang baik dan berguna....

This morning Aida and me went to SJKC Yuk Chai to watch the Discovery Magazines Spelling Contest. This morning was a state level competition and we were very impressed with the way they organised the event.

Later, we went to La Manila for brunch and we talked about a lot of thing. I managed to voiced out my problems to Aida and she was indeed a good listener. She advised me to be strong and patient with whatever trials and tribulations.

Sometimes I do feel sad and dissappointed with all the office politics that are going on but it's not my nature to confront people. Because to me, what's goes around comes around and the best I could do is to just be calm and I don't want those nitty witty things to bother me so much...

JEJAK KASIH

Dua tiga bulan ini aku banyak berjaya menjejak kawan - kawan lama yang dah berbelas - belas tahun tak jumpa.

Raja Eliza Mohana - gang rapat aku semasa kat sekolah menengah. Masih ingat lagi jeritan bebudak lelaki bila setiap kali nampak dia....Fumakila!!!

Kuatlah Chacha... Aku tahu kau kuat...

Zufliha - kali akhir kami jumpa kira - kira 10 tahun lepas dan akhirnya lost contact. Lately baru kami berjaya berjumpa semula. Leha dengan gaya selambanya namun cerdik belajar...

Wan Hasniah aka Washer - si budak tomboy yang sekarang dah bertransformasi jadi anggun ( anggun ke??? ). Khabarnya dah jadi ahli perniagaan berjaya...

Amin

17th MELTA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

It has been a while since I last updated my blog... Been away from 4th June till yesterday. Let me briefly share the things that I've gone through these past few days...

4th June

I woke up earlier that usual. I would be going with Kak Ano and she planned to drop me off at any Monorail or LRT station so that I can continue my journey to KL Central. We used Jalan Tun Razak and Kak Ano dropped me off. Paid 2.50 for the fare to KL Sentral.

Went to Warong Kita to have breakfast and just as I was starting to have it, Gan called asking my whereabout. She joined me but didn't eat anything since she has just taken hers.

Later we bought the KLIA express ticket and went down to Level 1. We reached KLIA at almost 10 and went up to level 5. Gan went to the ladies and I withdrew some money. Later we went to a book store and browsed for story book. A few days ago, while searching for Reaching the Star book, I read the review for The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Sun by Khaled Hosseini. Eventually, Gan was looking for The Kite Runner and I was attracted to get A Thousand Splendid Sun. We came to an agreement that Gan would buy one and so did I and we will exchange after we have read ours.

We boarded the plane at 11.30 but sat separately. I spent the first hour sleeping and the second one reading the story book.

We arrived at Kota Kinabalu nearly 3.00pm. It was a nice scenery from the plane. The airport was just beside the sea and it was picturesque. We took a taxi and went straight to Le Meridien.

Gan was informed that her room was not ready so we decided to go to the Filipino Market. They have a lot of crafts and their specialty, pearls. It was so interesting looking at all the jewelleries. Gan bought a set of necklace and bracelet for over RM 100.00.

Later we registered to the secretariat and I was so shocked to know that though I have made it clear that I am only presenting at Sabah, my name appeared at all the three places. We then went to our room and decided to just settle in.

5th June

The conference started at 8.00 am. Dato' Noor Rezan Bapoo Hashim's speech was splendid. Gan will be presenting this morning and I am to present tomorrow. Yesterday I met Dr. Faizah and her presentation is also today.

I saw a few PKK lecturers but later was even happier to know that 19 of them ( which means all ) were in Le Meridien for the conference. They said they were happy because it was seldom that they got to see somebody from polytechnic present paper at conferences.

That evening we went to Pasar Malam and I bought several bracelets, brooches and baju melayu buttons for my family. I bought a set of necklace and bracelet for Kak Ya. I thought of buying for myself but thinking about how seldom I used them, cancelled the idea.

The participants and presenters were invited for a dinner sponsored by Sabah Ministry of Culture and Tourism. We had so much fun...Gan and Dr. Faizah joined them for their dance. I got some books for the lucky dip... Then we took photos...

6th June

I was so nervous because I'm presenting today. At 1.45pm I went to Gaya room and get everything ready. My session will be at 2.35pm...Later, a few people started to enter the room and by 2.40pm, the room was half full with spectators.

I started by introducing myself and telling them my experience in teaching and later on witht he actual presentation... Everything went well... Praise to Allah and I was so happy...

7th June

I'm leaving Kota KInabalu today. But I promised that some day I'll be back and I'm planning to bring the whole family together with me...

COUNTDOWN TO REALITY...

We went to Kak Ano's place last night. Earlier we stopped by at Kak Errie's house to fetch Salwa and Farah but it seems only Salwa will be following us.

Adik Naeim seems to forget things easily. He refused to respond to Aida's calling and this somehow dissappoint her. As we are getting ready for bed, then only we realised that we left adik's feeding bottle. Khaizu been creative by coming up with a bottle from an empty soy bean container ( he he he )

This morning, I finished up my work on Interview Protocol for Gain Family Discovery Camp. And later, as I finished the task, I continued doing the final touches to my Melta Presentation Slide. I plan to do some reading and revision tonight at Kak Ano's place.

After lunch, we viewed the Pilot Video for SPM Science & English and PMR English and I was required to make 3 more copies for each original video. Jihan is going to teach me on how to burn the CDs later before she quickly get her lunch.

Aida wanted me to join the meeting with Liza and Oasis people because they are discussing on producing a new women show and basically it will be a join production between TVIQ and Oasis. Aida wanted me to sit in and give ideas...

I have to finish everything by today because tomorrow I'll be flying off to Kota Kinabalu for the conference. I pray to Allah that everything will be fine... Hopefully I will be able to deliver everyhting eloquently. Please Ya Allah... Help me so that I can present my ideas in a good way.

MONDAY BLUE...

It has been a while since we've gone back to Raub. Eventually, we missed each other very much. Aki looks happy when I shook his hands. He look s a bit weak and I know his aging. Don't know how much more time do we have to spend with each other. Wan also looks excited to see my children running and kissing her.

Ngah commented on how rapid Naeim has grown and asked few questions to Syamil and Kak Ya who were very interested to go to the fish pond. We shared updates and later I informed Mak to get ready if she really insisted on going to Kak Long's house in Jerantut.

We reached Jerantut at about 8.00 pm. Irfan, Afnan and Harman were screaming and shouting when they saw me at the gate. Kak Long said she thought they were making up stories when they were shouting my name... Kak Long just shifted to her newly bought house. Khaizu was really impressed with the price and the size of the house. Cantikkkk...he commented.

Yesterday, I was busy at work with the translation of Pesona Rindu series. By 12.00 noon I managed to complete everything and immediately passed them to Kiren. Then I went to Jusco to buy the contact lenses which I needed most. Ended up buying a pair of blouse and pants as well as few other things...

Went back to the office and view some screeners. Aida came in and told us that his nephew who was involved in the accident last week, passed away. Apparently 4 out of the 5 people passed away already.

Aida requested me to do some research on Dr. SMS and I quickly googled for related information. Then I remembered about the book that was newly launched on him. Later that day I went to IOI Mall to get the book. I managed to buy it and was so happy. Then only, when I was driving back, I realised that instead of buying the English version, I took a BM one.

Finished reading the book and was so amazed by the will and spirit shown by SMS's family and how close their relationship is. He must have missed the brother so much because they were so close together...

I found a new life in space but lost a dear one over here ....

NEW PARADIGM ...

Today somehow I arrived so much earlier at Bukit Jalil and I was the first to board the van. Enjoyed myself listening to special programmes in tribute to Allahyarham P. Ramlee.

Arrived at the office and updated several things. At 10.00 I joined Aida in a meeting with Wong Su Wei, one of the managers at Media Sales. We were discussing about several programmes and it seems there will be quite a lot of things happening just as I am about to leave and literally I need to be here on 3rd July for a shoot of Phonetic Challenge for Smart Reader Worldwide.

From the meeting I learnt several more new things such as with the company is the main sponsor of a particular programme then, there's a need to mention the sponsor's name e.g Anmum Essential Tom Tom Bak but if there are only co - sponsor then there's no need to mention the name...

I also learnt that for a programme to be aired on TV, we can only come up with detailed description of the event and forward it to the station and then they will see whether it's worth televised and will get a production house to work on it or a production house can up with a concept and further work with the station... Hmmm... suddenly Robocon comes into my mind.

Jihan asked me to help her with commisioning which I actually have witnessed her being very very busy with them lately. Though initially Aida insisted to get me out of the picture because she was afraid that they might be too dependent on me, but I really don't mind helping out. Pity looking at Jihan and Aida slaving themselves getting everything ready while I have the most minimum work to do...

Commisioning.... Here I come... If it goes well...credit to Jihan because her manual works. If I screw up, then the manual should be the one to be blamed.

WORK...WORK...AND WORK...

I reached Bukit Jalil stop over at 8.25 but unfortunately the van left already. Tried to stop several taxis but when I mentioned Equine Park, the drivers will just refused to take me. The worst part was, the people around me who are waiting for taxis cut queues. So not bercivic minded...huh huh

Finally, an abang taxi took me to the office via Puncak Jalil way...there goes my RM 12.50. Nobody was in so I just sat at my computer and update things. At about 10.00 Aida came in informing that Jihan will be on MC.

My day was filled with me doing the last touches on the BM and BI leaflets. Then Aida asked whether I have started on the Celebration ( Fillers ) project and I told her that I need to wait for Kelvin's call. But originally, I've researched a bit on the holidays and observances celebrated by Asian as well as UK and US so I just print them out.

Aida called me for a meeting with Zahrul ( This is IT's production ) where he was to show us the pilot of This Is IT. Noted that there's several pronunciation errors made by Anding so I decided to review the CD later.

Aida then requested me to come up with a proposal of 1 x 30' show of Gain Family Discovery Camp plus the interview protocol and if possible to come up with maybe 3 x 10' proposal of the same thing.

After lunch I sat down and really worked on it and managed to complete the 1 x 30' proposal. Aida came in later informing that she just had a meeting with Javerd and they probably need the proposal by 10.00 tomorrow since they can't manage to produce one. So Aida said, she'll just bring forward my proposal to the Media Sales.

Next week will be a very busy week for all of us. We are going thru the Focus session but unfortunately I will not be around. The sesion will be on 5 and 6th June when I would be in Kota Kinabalu for the conference. I would probably learnt a lot during that time if I am around... but it's okay... Aida or Jihan will be kind enough to brief everything to me I hope...

At the moment, they are shooting Gaia at Wisma Penyayang. This morning they were downstairs and now they are here in the office. So basically I am doing my work while they are actors and actress lingering all over the place. We have Kefli, Tam and Nora Danish. Just now they were shooting in one of the bosses' office and now they are shooting at the workplace area. Vijaya said we have to control ayu because we never know they may shoot us and we'll might be in TV... Heh heh. They are now going around asking people who would like to be extras...

OOOOHHH...I'M IN PAIN

On Monday, we had a light dinner. The children had roti canai while I have roti telur. When back home and watched Cuci and Duyong. Suddenly I felt quite hungry, so Syamil was sent down to buy nasi goreng Cina...

Since everybody was quite full, I had the fried rice alone. Later that morning at about 2.00 I was awakened by a sudden pain. Went to the toilet for several times and in the end when I vomitted tremendously, I realised that I had a terrible food poisoning...

I headed for the office though was in terrible pain. As I drove, I felt a gush of cold and started to shiver...alamak dah demam pulak. I arrived at the office at about 9.30 and was very weak. I was trembling and in the end I told Jihan that I need to rest in the musolla. At about 12.00, Aida texted me to go back since the routine time was undecided.

I can't get up at all. I can only lied down and I didn't take any food cause I'm afraid it would bring more harm. Abang Khaizu asked me to eat panadol and he went to buy Koolfever for adults and ordered the children not to disturb me. Kak Ya and Naeim fought with each other... a lot of things can be the cause of their fight ... from fighting over which channel to watch up to fighting over who should sleep beside me...

Today, I feel much better though I still got the slight pain and giddiness. Went to work and Aida asked how far am I with the filler project. I know I need to start working on it since I have 3 big projects to be completed before I finish my SIP.

LA... YE KE...TAK SESUAI ....

I don't know what came over me but have been forgetting things lately. Last Wednesday, Kak Pooja informed about kenduri at Mak Yah's place and the time they'll move to rumah pengantin perempuan but unfortunately it turned out to be wrong information.

Kak Jun called me several times on Saturday morning but biasala... hari cuti...we will be fully, 100% sober after 9.00am. Called her back, dia tanya aku sihat ke tak and tanya why are still at home? I told her that we will be on your way since the kenduri is at night, but was truly shocked when she said she is at Mak Yah's house and the kenduri is in the morning...Huh...silly me!!!

Called the place, apoligized to Kak Len, fortunately she said okay but insisted that I join the rombongan hantar pengantin. Okay then, I don't mind that because we are not pretty sure whether we are going to Kedah or not...

On Sunday, we arrived at Subang 2 at about 10.30am, I enjoyed myself eating popiah and roti jala which I've been craving for. Tak lama kemudian, several of Kak Nor'en's relatives arrived at the house. Biasala orang perempuan bila dah jumpa banyak la nak cerite but ada satu kakak ni aku tak daya betul...

I don't know whether it's appropriate or not, at a kenduri yang ada ramai makcik - makcik, kau bercerite pasal the sooo maaaany maany times you had been travelling in and outside Malaysia. Dahla cerita tak sesuai ngan majlis pastu kuat - kuat... Aku pun tak paham kat mana relevannya kau kena mendabik dada bercerita kat semua orang mengenai pengalaman kau pergi shopping, how Bandung was great, how Jakarta was dirty... betapa miskinnya rakyat kat Vietnam and aku tak nampak apa sinambungnya cerita dia mengenai dia bercuti di Penang dan tidur di hotel yang berharga RM 1k semalam.

But sorry la kakak ye, come to think about it...ya...negara - negara yang kakak pergi tu takla mengembangkan minda sangat... Kalau setakat pegi Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam tu rasanya tak payahla... Currency exchange depa pun tak tinggi mana. Sesungguhnya sepanjang proses mendabik dada tu berlaku tu aku tak dengarla pulak dia sebut pegi umrah ke atau sebut pegi negara - negara yang currency exchange dia tinggi... Tak larat nak dengar, maka aku pun keluar dari rumah tu bawak adik Naeim main - main kat luar, lagi berfaedah....

Tulah ye...typical Melayu...bila rasa diri tu kaya sikit dari orang mesti nak berlagak lebih... Ni mesti kes baru nak kaya sebab tu berlagak lain macam. Humble aje.... Ha speaking of humble, we were so surprised when Nurul Izzah was at the brides place, siap ambik gambar lagi dengan Hisham and the wife.

Macam biasa waktu nak balik kami bersalaman dengan Hisham, anak buah aku yang selamat bergelar suami orang tu. Serasa sayu pulak hati bila si Hisham mencium tangan aku sambil tak putus - putus mintak aku doakan perkahwinannya.

Cik Mimi...thank you for coming... Please bless me

LAMA TAK JUMPA...

Berbalas - balas SMS ngan Natrah pagi tadi and suddenly she mentioned Eli's name. Aku pun mintak no. telefon minah tu sebab dah lama sangat tak dengar cite dia...

Raja Eliza Mohana,
  • a dear old friend yang dah lama sangat aku tak jumpa
  • just don't know how it started but kitorang jadi gang ( a group of us actually ) yang selalu ada happening things to do and Eli ni dah jadi macam ketua kitorang
  • she is witty, pandai menari and probably kepandaian aku ( pandai ke???

Buloh rupanya sekarang dah dara sunti, dah masuk asrama pun. Yelah..anak aku sendiri dah 9 tahun...

Tak sedar masa berjalan cepat sangat... Aku masih teringat lagi macamana havocnya kami kat sekolah dulu. Mentang - mentangla senior so we really ruled the place...man. Dengan bersiap lambatnya, tak pergi breakfast, pukul 7 baru nak tinggalkan blok asrama... Pastu orang gi kelas ikut gajah menyusur tapi kitorang detour sampai ikut jalan kat kuarters cikgu. Orang tak nak buat common duty kalau masa inspection but kitorang siap volunteer sebab kalau buat common duty dapat kumpul sama - sama. Maklum saja kitorang lain - lain homeroom...

Looking forward to meet everybody on this coming reunion of batch 86 - 90 SEMESTA in Swiss Garden.

FLY TIMES FLY...

I started the day by viewing some screeners. I am bit frustrated because the CDs cannot run well because the player must be dirty. I've informed Jasbir last week but unfortunately the condition remains the same.

Little updates about things which happened yesterday... We had a meeting with RL in the afternoon. Aida asked whether I can help in working with the production of English ( Malaysian version ) programme with ABC people. Oooh... glad to...

Got 2 complimentary tickets to AF6 final tomorrow night. At first I was so thrilled to go but then when I think about it, might be better if I just watch it on TV... Hmmm... still considering...

Got several relieving news from abang Khaizu and Devi also mentioned about DG 41 going to 44 and we both decided to discuss further with Encik Miswan but I resort to write a letter to NUTP regarding the issue. Hopefully there'll be more good news later on...

Jihan told me that I could probably get 2 more tickets from Kelvin but he said he hasn't collected them from Ejai. He'd probably pass the ticket to me later...hmmm bolehla bagi kat Nat and Cikgu Lan...

Started working on the English programme... Aida asked whether they could request for extension of my stay here but I don't think it is possible...

I just can't believe how times fly... I am already apporaching my 3rd month in ASTRO and soon I'll be finishing off...

PENAMAT YANG MUDAH...

Yesterday was a fine day. Went to Tanjong Malim and met the people at the office. Mizah told me she got a place in UM. Good for you, dear.

Went back and reached Bunga Raya at 17.30pm. I saw a lot of people kat rumah jiran bawah rumah aku. Ada kenduri kot... I thought but went straight up to my place. Last night my curiosity raised when I saw more people are at the place. And as usual, anak - anak kita akan jadi source yang efektif untuk dapatkan news. Aku tanya Syamil what happened and he told me this morning the nenek downstairs passed away.

Aku jadi terkejut sebab Syamil said she passed away at 6.00 am but when I went down pagi tadi takda pun orang kat rumah dia. But abang Khaizu did mentioned that he saw many people masa dia balik dari kerja and the chairs were outside the house but he thought jiran kitorang tu beli kerusi baru.

After dinner, I suggested maybe a. Khaizu should go down for the tahlil. He came back at 23.00pm and told me that it's true the nenek passed away. Yang menariknya, di kejiranan kami ni, jika ada sesiapa meninggal straightaway kereta jenazah akan datang and bawak jenazah ke Masjid Besar di Bukit Sentosa and everything will be done there. I got to know that, opah tu meninggal pukul 6 and by 9 dia dah selamat dikebumikan. That was quick man... Abang Khaizu said it was the practice yang dah memang digunapakai kat kawasan kami ni. Kira sistematikla tu kan ...

HAI YOU....

We had a long weekend recently... On Friday night we had a bowling tournament...actually it was SK Taman Bunga Raya punya function. I joined the teachers' group. I was in Team 8 and Abang Khaizu team 1. I was so embarrased because it took me one whole game to warm - up. The first game I did badly, then only things got better on the second game. Syamil was a strong supporter, kelakar tengok how he encouraged and gave kata - kata semangat to me...

Saturday nite, we had to go down to AESB to hand over a report to RL. We reached the office at 20.15pm and due to the size of the file, I couldn't send them via email. Fortunately RL came over so I handed over the pendrive to him.

On Sunday we just stayed at home..lepakking and watched TV. Planned to bake some cupcakes but as usualla kan, kalau dah namanya jadi potato couch tu, of course tak banyak yang boleh dikerjakan.

Yesterday was Wesak Day, so another day of holiday...At first, we were thinking of going to Kak Erie's house but in the end, we stayed at home. I was not well actually, kena gatal - gatal satu badan dah dekat one week. It was basically disturbing me so bad sebab bila malam aje badan rasa gatal sangat and bengkak macam digigit nyamuk.

I called kampung to get some opinion. Ngah said aku kena rengas a.k.a ludah langsuir, so I need to go and see any ustaz to be cured. The night before a. Khaizu tried reciting some qur' an verses ( al - Fatihah & Ayat Kursi ) to a bowl of water and later on he rubbed everything to my body as well as asking me to drink the water and alhamdulillah it worked so fine. Abang Khaizu suggested that I called abang Sahak to get some help...

Late in the evening, I took Kak Ya to the pasar malam nearby. We bought some kuih and a few sticks of ayam panggang ( actually cenonggeng ayam... he he ). Then we made our move. As we were walking towards the block, suddenly I heard Kak Ya shouted, Hai Kimi !!! and in front of us I saw a boy, about her age, smiling and waving and also shouting Hai Ya !!! I quickly looked at the boy's mother and we smiled to each other.

It triggered me, how different are kids nowadays and I was actually quite surprised with what happened... Bukan marah but... how remarkable has our kids way of socialising changed as time moves on. Rasanya, kita dulu takla seramah depa masa seumur mereka but I guess sebab they were send very early to nursery and playschool, so their ability to mix around has been developed quite fast kan...

Kadang - kadang looking at how my kids behave and reacts to certain things boleh buat aku jadi melodrama sikit but it's true kan, anak - anak ni memang macam kain putih... they'll absorb whatever came to them so kita punya tanggungjawab yang sangat besar untuk pastikan depa filter and pick up what's good and best for them...

SELAMAT HARI IBU PADA SEMUA IBU - IBU... KITA MEMANG BERPERANAN BESAR DALAM MEMBENTUK PERIBADI ANAK - ANAK KITA...

EARTH ITernity

On Saturday, I spent my morning to noon at the International Youth Centre ( IYC ) in Cheras for the Earth Iternity workshop. We were there to supervise things actually. I reached Bandar Tun Razak at about 9.15 and straightaway got in a taxi.

We ( me and Jihan ) went into the hall as Mr. Sarbuland Khan was delivering his speech. Aida and Amir were already there so we joined them at their table. Later on Aida took us to the room since Amir's session will start at 11.30. We watched a Malay movie, which the theme was about teacher ( in conjunction with Teacher's Day ). But sadly, the story was trash ( oopps sorry, Mr. T.S Jefferey ).The story was produced without proper research ( I guess ) because a lot of crucial elements have been neglected.

We went to the hall but the participants were not there... and while waiting for them, Amir jokingly asked us to identify the state flag as well as foreign countries' flag. Then Amir gave out his talk and it generated a very healthy discussion among the participants. As the session ended, some of the participants approached Amir to discuss more on the issue that had been put forward earlier.

It was rather liberating to listen to the teens' experiences such as going through war, being diasbled and many more.

HAPPY CIKGU DAY ...

12.00 midnite ... the message alert sounded and I was a little bit annoyed because it is midnite... Trying to get some sleep but I still make an effort to read the message. Menyesal rasa geram tadi. Rupanya dari Harziani wishing me Happy Teacher's Day. Tiba - tiba aku rasa sayu. Ada jugak anak murid yang ingat. It is because a lot of us think that it is very unsuitable for us to celebrate teacher's day coz we are now so called lecturers, but to me regardless what people all around the world called you or whatever terms used, when you are delivering ilmu pengetahuan kepada orang, you are a teacher....

Earlier yesterday, while I was busy preparing the presentation for RL, I received an advanced wish from Ramdan Jampar ( my x-student ). Jihan said they must be closed to me, or else they may have forgotten me by this time.

This morning, received several more wishes and they really touches my heart. Sent a wish to an old friend... The reply was,
Sama dari abang. Jadilah guru yang berguru...
Suddenly my Friday turns up to be a blue and sombre one... Looking at all the school children with their gifts and presents reminded me of old times. How I missed those days...

AS YET... UNTITLED

Started my journey a bit early today... As the train reached Kuang, a few ladies boarded the train and since there were no availaible seats, I offered mine to a kakak. She was a bit reluctant when she got to know that I will be going off at Serdang.. Kesian awak she said but it's okay. I know there'll be more empty places when we reached KL.

I was standing happily listen to the radio when I saw a man waving to me offering his place. Though I refused to, he insisted that I took his place. Since he was sitting at the far corner of the coach, it took me some times to get to the place. Assuming that I'll reach him at the right time, he quickly stood up to give me the place. Suddenly, another man quickly plunged forward and sat down. I was stunned by the action but pretended that everything was okay.

A nearby gentleman must have audienced the whole incident...so he offered his place to me. I thanked him and sat down... That's some of the beauty sight of Malaysian gentlemen I guess ( queer smile )...

I learnt a new phrase yesterday. We were meeting Amir Mahmood Razak to discuss about the things that he would take during the workshop. When asked by Aida on the title, he just said as yet untitled... He said that had been his answer ( since old old old time ) whenever people asked about the title of any of his presentation. And I also learnt some very inspiring saying ( also mentioned by Amir )

All diamonds begin life as a coal

GENTLEMEN...NOT SO LA...

Lately, aku dah jarang - jarang memandu ke ASTRO. One of the reason, aku drive sorang - sorang and selalu ngantuk so abang Khaizu said why not try public transportation? The other reason is, it is moooooooore economic.

Sumbat telinga dengan earphone sambil dengar radio and doze off.

Sekarang aku dah ada cara baru. Rupanya selama ni ASTRO memang hantar and jemput staf dia yang berulang kat Stesen LRT BKT Jalil so pagi - pagi aku akan naik train terus sampai Serdang but petang aku akan naik van ASTRO ke Bukit Jalil, pastu naik train kat Tasik Selatan.

Dua tiga hari kebelakangan ni, train selalu buat hal so bersesakla sikit. Contohnya pagi tadi, train 7.27 ke Seremban was cancelled so orang-orang yang biasa naik trip tu terpaksa join dengan orang - orang yang naik trip 7.45 jadi cubalah bayangkan macamana packnya coach train. Heran aku tengok.

Renung - renungkan ....

WCIT 2008

Do you know that WCIT 2008 will be in Malaysia this coming weekend? World Congress of IT is a two yearly function organised by WITSA and UNGAID where delegates gather and discuss as well as having other programmes pertaining to ICT and development. For more information you can go to http://www.wcit2008.org/

ASTRO TVIQ is involved in broadcasting the summit and basically we are involve in the running of Earth ITernity Workshop for International Youth which will be held in IYC Cheras. Early this morning, Aida informed me that at 11.30am, we will be seeing Amir Mahmood razak from Awani because it seems that he is quite lost about the whole idea, so Aida wanted me to have adequate information so that I will be able to explain later on. At the same time, I am also preparing a set of 10 questions to be asked by JFK to selected delegates.

I try to imagine that I am doing the interview, so, who / what and several more ideas come into my mind. 3 prominent people would be the best candidates for the interview and they are Mr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh himself, Mr. Sabuland Khan or anybody from MSC or WCIT Sdn. Bhd and most probably our PM or any minister.

I outlined the protocol to 3 sections; first would be about UNGAID, second about WCIT 2008 and the last section would be the impact of WCIT to Malaysia and 9MP. JFK constantly reminded us to go all out for this event since it would be a good thing to be included in our resume ( heh heh ).

I am really looking forward to be in IYC this weekend because the opportunity of meeting about 200 youth delegates from all over the world would a once in a lifetime thing for me.

NATIONAL GUMDROP DAY ...

Today I concentrated on preparing the April Top 50 programmes report. We were supposed to have meeting with RL but due to something, the meeting was cancelled. Managed to finished the report by 11.30am and send a copy each to Aida and Jihan.

Jihan asked whether I have finished doing the powerpoint for TVIQ. Actually I did but there is something more to be added in. I visioned to produce a more interesting with flash images but unfortunately with my limited skills in that area, I managed to only come up with a lame ordinary presentation ( though Jihan said it was veryyyy nice )

Aida requested me to identify 60 hours of programmes to be purchased from Channel 4 but after going halfway through it, I just know I can't continue...Fortunately Aida said it was not ASAP.

I got one more important task today... Eventually, we are going to be involved with the World Congress IT this weekend. As elaborated by JFK yesterday, it is some sort of Olympics of ICT where International Delegates will be in KL to discuss as well as have conferences and forums on matters pertaining to ICT and Development. So I was required to check on the script produced by the script writer and also to produce at least 10 questions to be used by JFK during the interviews with selected delegates in KLCC.

Later, Aida informed me to get at least 20 fillers to be used next year. Fillers are actually short clips that can be used to fill in excessive time after certain show ( this is MY interpretation... ). Aida suggested that I look at celebrations, holidays and observances especially strange ones and touch on them to be mentioned in the fillers.I found that the world population looveee holidays till there are hundreds of celebrations in a year. The most funniest one I think will be National Gumdrop Day which is celebrated every 15 February to honour the gumdrop... How to celebrate it? According to the notes...eat as much gumdrops... OOuuiii..sweeet....

WHAT A DAY ...

I got a message from Mizah informing that Aishah's mother passed away. I quickly picked up the phone and rang her. She was at the cemetery and we talked for a while before I hang up.

Called Kak Fariza and was being told that my transfer forms have not been submitted because it was after the closing date. At the moment I am so pissed off with the person who deliberately made the decision of not submitting my form to be signed by the Director with the excuse that it was late...Did the person know that I did not plan to submit it late?

I was recently informed that abang Khaizu will be going through the surgery by May or June and it was kind of risky but they still need to do it to avoid more danger. I had to take some precautions and that was the reason why I asked for the transfer...

Everybody knows that I never planned to apply for any transfer but due to this matter, I need to do so... I really feel like running back to PSAS and ask the person whether he read the reason properly but it's okay... What goes around comes around ....

MONTHS OF WOES ...

Beginning on Wednesday, I travelled by train to Equine Park. It was a nice and smooth journey of 6.30 Metro bus from Bunga Raya. Then, I arrived at Rawang KTM Station at 7 and quickly boarded the 7.07 train to Seremban. Arrived at 8.15 in Serdang and got in the 8.30 Rapid bus to Putra Permai.

The best thing about using public transportation I guess, is the pleasure of relaxing and snoozing all the way from Rawang to Serdang. I do not have to hassle about driving and figuring out how to avoid traffic jam.

At 9.00 I reached Wisma Penyayang and immediately worked on my tasks though Aida kept on saying there are no more tasks to be given to me. Aida let me go very much early so that I can go to HKL to meet Cik.

While I was there, I got a phone call from Kak Errie asking my whereabout... She told me Abang Said was admitted to Pusrawi and will be getting an emergency surgery at 17.00 pm. Since Hasrul was a bit confused with the way, she asked whether I can drive the whole family including mine to Pusrawi and she wanted me to use their Unser.

So I rushed to Bunga Raya, fetched abang Khaizu and the children and quickly drove to Sg. Buaya. We reached Pusrawi exactly at fifteen to 1800. Straightaway we went to Level 5, As Salam Ward but abang Said was not there. The nurse told me that he is still in the OT so we moved to level 3.

Being in a hospital will always bring back old time memories though not many are sweet ones. I saw the nurse pushing a bed and I was pretty sure it was Abg. Said though Hadi said the man was shorter than his Ayah. I suggested to check whether it is really Abang Said and asked everybody to wait at Level 3. It is true, he was pushed out of the OT so I called everybody.

He was a bit weak but still managed to interact with the children as well joking around with my kids. We kept on warning the children to be more quiet for their Ayah's sake, but kids will always be kids.

Salwa voluntereed to stay and looked after the father and I was so proud of her. It reminded me to how adamant I was to stay at the ward, during the time Arwah Abah was warded last time in Selayang as well as in Raub...

I do pray that Abang Said will be okay... It will be difficult to the family if anything bad happens to him...

ACTING THE TECHNOLOGY THINGY...

Today, we went to Malacca to look at the Petrosains Actology. We started our journey at 8 in the morning and we slept along the way. I was kind of surprised that we managed to reach Ayer Keroh by 9.30. Referring to the itinerary, the event will only begin at 11.30, so we decided to have breakfast before heading to Taman Budaya.

As we reached the venue later, we discovered that the event had ended and they were actually waiting for the result. After some slow talk between Aida and Lash ( Petrosains Rep ), they agreed to arrange so that the winning team can perform again later.

As a whole, the event looks fine. It was kind of fun actually when the students perform their science sketch. The winning team is SM Tinggi St. Davis Malacca and they were doing a sketch on energy. Aida asked my opinion on whether the airing of this competition would sell, as for me definitely it would because we are actually educating the students on certain topics and theme but we put it in a more fun and attractive ways.

We were invited to join them for lunch but Aida said we better not, looking at the way others were eyeing us. We did feel a bit out of place but it is natural I guess. Anybody would feel the same way when we are among crowds who are not in the same league as ourselves.

We reached Wisma Penyayang at 14.45 and continued with our own works, Aida and Jihan were now busy doing their purchasing and assigning agreements and I am planning to finish preparing the analysis for SPM, PMR and UPSR as I planned yesterday.

I was a bit frustrated since I didn't manage to do any viewing yesterday due to technical faults. Though, they insisted that I don't have to do the viewing at home, but I think I'll do it since tomorrow we might need the feedback during our weekly meeting.

BIT BY BIT ...

I have managed to complete all the tasks assigned to me. This morning when I asked Aida, whether they have any other task to assign me, she said so far no more. I was a bit concerned because, it is not fun having no work to be done.

Then Aida asked me to browse through the pendrive given by Channel 4 to select the programmes and I did so, but unfortunately, we cannot access the materials. Aida asked me to
go to Channel 4 website and see what I can do about it.

CV came up with a bundle of screeners and since everybody is busy, I voluntereed to do the viewing. Thinking of going through the SPM, PMR and UPSR books later on to have a look at the analysis of Qs for the VOD.

HAPPY LABOUR DAY ...

It is always difficult to go to the office after having a reallllyyy relaxing one day holiday. What was even worse ... I can't sleep at all last night. Only managed to have a very short nap at about 5 am.

Nothing much happened yesterday, but I really enjoyed my one day off. We watched TV, eat, had afternoon sleep and more watching TV.

Last Wednesday, we ( Kelvin and me ) had a meeting with several secondary school teachers regarding VOD project. We had a very long and good discussion about what they expect out of the project and many more. Looking at all the expert teachers, I realised that I missed teaching in school especially the primary kids.

Earlier we had a surprise birthday lunch for Zainir ( the big boss ) and Bob Azrai. We had loads of seafood and cheese cake. Later, they celebrated Jackie's birthday and we had more cheese cakes.

I am addicted to Sundae Cone lately. Now I can really see what can sugar do to our body. Sometimes I do feel fatigue in the morning, having to drive from Rawang everyday. So what I did was, I stopped at Sunway McDonald's Drive Thru and ordered a cone and miraculously, though dangerous too, it somehow gave me energy.

I know I need to stop before it brings any harm to my body. Even abang Khaizu nowadays do whispers maybe I should lose some inches...

BTW, my leaflet's draft was ready on Wednesday ( I promised them it would be ready by Friday ), Jihan said it was cute and catchy.... I was kinda happy with my own work!!!

SAME THINGS ... SAME CONDITIONS ...

Yesterday ( 28.04.08 ) was quite okay. No updates on anythings. I was just doing routine office works and managed to add some more pages my novel's draft.

Today I arrived at 9.00 am and just like the usual days, there will be only some people working in the office. As I sat down, Aida asked about the leaflet and informed that we are going to have a meeting with RL at 10 am.

We went down and discussed as well as updated RL on few things. Aida informed that most probably Jihan will be sent to Labuan to view the ACTology thingy and she planned to send me to Penang for the same purpose. It's going to be fully covered working trip.

Looking forward to go to Penang. maybe I can meet up with Medlina there. I am now working on the production of leaflet to be distributed to neighbouring schools as a way to promote TVIQ's programmes. So I guess... this few days will be busy busy busy with the synopsis of programmes, photos and setting layouts for the leaflet. Aida reminded me that I should come up with 2 versions of leaflet; BM and English.

Probably, there will be no more posting for this few approaching days..............

SOME PROMO TO BE DONE ...

We had a meeting with RL at 11.30am this morning. Since there were so many things to be discussed on and we were kinda run out of time, Richard suggested to treat us for lunch so that we could continue discussing the agenda while having lunch.

We've decided to meet at Kenny Rogers Roaster at 1.15 pm. Jihan drove us to jaya Jusco and we entered the restaurant. Aida asked for a more private area but the waiter told that all of those kind of place were taken but ushered us to a at the end table for four. Immediately Aida received an SMS and it was actually Richard, informing that he was already in the building.

We joined him and ordered our food. Since I was still full, I only ordered Roasted Chicken Salad and a glass of orange juice. We talked over few things and at 2.15 he left us with 2 RM 50 notes. I eventually ordered another ice milo and Aida ordered hot cappucino.

We hanged out a little longer and at 3.00 pm we went back to the office at 3.15 pm. All in all the total of money that we have to pay for the food we ate was RM 97.00.

Richard asked me to come up with a leaflet to be forwarded to various schools. He asked me to get the photos of the programmes and higlight them as TVIQ's hot programmes. He wanted everything to be ready in a fortnight

ADA MATA, PANDANG ... ADA OTAK, PIKIR...

Pagi tadi terbangun lewat sikit...Punyala liat semua orang nak tinggalkan tilam ngan selimut. Syamil membese atas tilam and abang Khaizu a bit geram ngan dia.

Kebiasaan berulang setiap pagi menjadikan aku orang yang observer... ( kot he he he ).

Hopefully there'll me no amendments that need to be done...

Aida looks so sweet pakai baju kurung hari ni. Katanya sebab happy sangat increment and bonus dia lebat... Congrats la untuk Aida. I supposed she must be a valuable asset to ASTRO, kalau tak takkan la boleh dapat banyak macam tu ( walaupun aku tak tau figures nya tapi dari cahaya gembiranya tu, boleh agak ).

But talking about membuka minda, ya... I have to admitla, kita lebih luas perspective...

BTW, next week ada surprise makan - makan. Everybody will have to chip in tapi Aida yang baik hati dah bayarkan untuk aku... Thanks Aida....

GET GOING ...

I'm done with the programme selection. Remembered that last week Richard mentioned about 100 hours so I carefully selected the programmes so that they covered the 100 hours requirements. All in all, from the selection, it seems that the programmes that I've selected from Granada International hits 6033 mins ( 100 hours 33 mins ). It's okay, the meeting tomorrow will determine them.

After lunch, Aida handed over the slides about TVIQ in English and asked whether I can possibly translate them to Bahasa and come up with new slides. I managed to complete the task within 10 minutes and passed them to Aida. She was basically screaming because she was so surprised that I managed to finish it in a short while.

Later we had a meeting with Kelvin regarding the Keep It Wild and Smart Reader Concert. Spent a lot of time finalising about the programme and concert.

After the meeting, I sat down and wrote the TVIQ script ( this time in English ) and handed over a copy to Jihan and Aida. I glanced over to my watch and oh my God!!! it is already 1840. I am terribly late today but what the heck...its not that I'm always this late.

ANOTHER LO...NG JOURNEY TO LESS WORK...

Aida texted me early in the morning informing that she is going to MIMOS for a meeting and responded that it's okay for me to walk in a little bit later. Went to the bank to settle things and while I was driving past Eastin Hotel, got a message from Jihan informing that she had Promo meeting at ABC.

I reached office at 15 to 1000 and started working on the programme selection. It was nice having the privilege to choose movie, entertainment and series from hundreds of lists but in the end I realised that I might chose too much.

Jihan came in at about 5 to 1300 while I was having my prepacked brunch ( bought it at 9.45 but ate at 1230 ). Later she went out to buy some lunch and I spent my lunch break watching 707 ( Come Dine With Me and later Surreal Gourmet ).

Aida came in a rush since she had to attend another meeting in KL later. She was a bit worried that I might be bored because of the less work but promised that by next week, there'll be more work to be done.

Keep myself occupied with updating this blog as well as coming up with a table consisting programmes which I've selected earlier.

WORK = FUN ; NO WORK = BOSAN

It seems that I've nothing to do on Monday. Jihan and Aida was busy with their scheduling and other works that are approaching the dateline and I've got nothing to do...

Aida told me not to worry because all the things that they were doing was set earlier so I was still not in the picture. Aida just asked me to sit and browse the net to fill the time.

Both of them attended a long meeting and I was alone in the TVIQ section. Aida constantly reminded me not to worry because of the no work this week because they were actually updating on things which have reached the duedate.

I did nothing basically, just updating whatever materials that I have. Oh.. BTW, during the meeting last week, Richard passed a thick catalogue from Granada London on Film and Movies as well as series to be aired on TVIQ, so I am now selecting which one to buy.

I spent my morning viewing catalogues from Sunrise and managed to decide on several programmes to be purchased.

WE MEET AGAIN...

I was not okay on Thursday and Friday so had been on MC for the two days. On Friday evening, Aida informed about the VOD which was previously cancelled will finally be on... Wow!!! That's good news...

Today I arrived at the office realizing that my pedestal key was not there...most probably it was in the other handbag... Met some of the PSAS people on Friday... though I felt very happy to meet them but I guess... absence sometimes do make us forget about people...

On Friday night I went to Poliklinik Murni to get some more medication...ughhhhh I couldn't stand the pain...

Nothing much to say it seems... will be posting some updates later...

IDEA ... IDEA

Today happened to be not too bad for me...Syamil is going for his co-curricular activity for the first time so quite busy in the morning. Listened to Hot.Fm while driving...Faizal Tahir has come back from suspension, it seems. I really love the Sampai Syurga song...

I did final touches on the ASTRO XPRESI report. So far, Aida liked both the reports but still she said they are subjected to Richard's approval. At 5 to 1, received reminder about the meeting with Richard. Earlier, Aida informed that we're gonna have Pizza for lunch...

We went down to the meeting room and eventually had our lunch while waiting for Richard to sort things out. Jihan browsed through my Daily Report Book and we had a good laugh while commenting on the things that I wrote in the book.

I passed the log book to Richard and he signed it adding some quotes in it... He was impressed with my reports and said that they were very useful. They were talking about Cherating but Richard was not sure whether I will be going since I'm on contract basis...though it would be nice if I can join... It would be good to let some tension out of my chest... and I do need some rest...

The meeting ended at exactly 1600 hours and I quickly went down to do my Zuhur prayer. Went straight up and called Juki to ask about the programme. He said okay so I went down to inform CV... Later I just sat down at my table, playing with my computer surfing the net...

Though frankly I am stressed about the paper presentation for tomorrow and Friday, but to get to know that I can use abang Said laptop really eased things pretty much...

Ya Allah, give me the strength to complete everything tonight... Amin......

ADUIIII SAKITNYA...

Aku kenala ngaku minggu ni banyak sangat benda tak baik berlaku kat aku. Nasib malang sungguh... Yesterday nite after we had our lovely dinner of nasi goreng sardin and telur dadar, I went down to the car park to get something from the car...

Kat area rumah aku ni memaaaang ramai kaki lepak dan kaki motor...rempitla tu.... Dari jauh aku dah nampak sorang mamat ni tengah membuat aksi angkat depan motor dan aku dah tak sedap hati dah... Dalam hati aku memang dah niat kalau la aku ada air mineral sebotol sekarang ni mau aku lempar kat budak ni biar dia tergolek dog kat situ...

Tetiba aku terperasan budak ni macam tak tentu arah... Alamak dah masin benor ke mulut aku ni sampai hanya dengan niat pun aku mampu buat budak ni jatuh... tapi aku rasa budak ni macam nak menghala kat aku...Alahai nak accident pulak ke aku malam ni... Semuanya berlaku dengan pantas. Tau - tau aku dah tersembam kat atas motor ntah sesapa yang parking kat tepi blok aku ni. Rusuk aku rasa sakit sangat sampai tanpa segan silu aku menangis sakan - sakan.

Dekat setengah botol abang Khaizu letak minyak panas tapi aku tak rasa apa pun... Pagi tadi sembahyang subuh pun kena duduk. Aku patutnya nak gi klinik pagi tadi tapi teringatkan meeting pukul 11 kat ABC, makanya aku drive jugak slow2 ke ofis. Malang lagi sekali bila melepasi Hentian Sg. Buloh, aku tengok jalan sesak gile..rupanya ada accident and jalan tu padat sampai tak boleh nak mencelah pun. Terpaksa la aku terkendon2 dekat sejam dalam keta menunggu untuk sampai exit Kota Damansara ( nak detour ).

Hampir pukul 9.45 baru aku masuk ofis. Nasib baik depa tak kisah... Tiba2 dapat mail dari Richard kata tak jadi meeting hari ni, tunda esok tengahari kat Gita Bayu... so Aida suggest aku balik pegi jumpa doktor...

Dalam sakit - sakit tu aku sempat jugak buat report untuk Astro Xpresi separuh jalan, Aida kata dia heran tengok macamana aku boleh buat slide sampai berpuluh2 sedangkan diorang kalau disuruh buat 2,3 slide pun diorang rasa pening... Cikgu....memang dah jadi bread and butter.

Pukul 12.30 ingat nak balik, singgah kat Maybank nak withdraw duit... Alatokkk dah duit tak boleh kuar pulak... Kad ni pulak kad abang Khaizu, minyak dalam keta kering kontang, kat tangan aku adala 9 ringgit..Wuihhh!!! dugaan apala Tuhan nak bagi lagi...

Mau aku meraung taga kat sini karang...

WHOLE NEW WORLD ...

On Friday, I went to the Raja Lawak Post Party and Birthday Bash for Prima. Everything was sooo new and different, it surprised me in several ways. Coming from a different background, we were always exposed to different views of what celebration is...

Nothing much to comment, it was so nice having the opportunity to meet celebrities though many things overwhelmed me.

On Saturday, I went to Banting for the promo shoot of Gempak Desa as well as to have a look at the final shoot of THIS IS IT ( Information Technology...I mean )...

Met Anding, we talked about TESL, about his previous study in UiTM and of course Syamil took a few snaps of photo with him. Previously in the morning, Syamil was so happy to meet Jimmy and Ashraf Sinclair at ABC.

Today ( Monday ), I spent the whole day glued to my PC updating on the Xpresi materials. Had several ideas on how to present them. Hopefully by tomorrow, everything will be ready because I know I have tonnes and tonnes of work to be finished.

Tomorrow Richard will be back, kind of anxious to meet him, ya...though we have met before but that was on different term. Hopefully, I will also have time to prepare for my Masters presentation.

Earlier, Aida asked on what will I wear to the Nextgen Contentpreneur Award this coming Saturday... Hmmm..actually still thinking about it but most probably I'll be wearing something black. After all we are just going to be the spectator but Aida said there'll maybe have an after party later... we'll see...

BUSY BUSY BUSY...

Today I arrived exactly at 9.00am at the office...Thinking of continuing with the ASTRO XPRESI thingy so I sat down and worked on them.

Earlier I mailed the last piece of report which Aida asked me to add into my ASTRO TVIQ presentation. Then as usual, I surfed the net and opened up my outlook.

Yesterday, Aida informed us through the mail about Raja Lawak Post party cum The Astro Prima Birthday Bash. She asked whether I'm going or not. I was uncertain but later on decided to go since everybody is going. I guess I'm going to be very busy with the stats again and everything should be ready by 17th April.

Not many people are in the office at the moment since it is lunch time.I'm thinking of going out later. After lunch I'll be doing some viewing...there are about six CDs to be viewed.

Hopefully, I will be able to enjoy myself tonight... And tomorrow we will be going to Banting for the Gempak Desa Event....

HERE WE GO AGAIN...

I tried another route this morning. Passing by the way everyday somehow gave me an idea of why not trying the LDP thru Sg. Buloh exit because the route looked so serene and less congested. So today's morning, without hesitation, I paid RM4.10 and drove along the way...Huuuuh...as I was approaching SSF Kepong, the time showed 07.45...he he this was very very good.

Eventually the good feelings faded as I was coming to the junction that led to Bandar Utama, Kelana Jaya and Puchong. It was jam packed with vehicles. Alamak...wrong calculation again( direct translation : salah perkiraan ).

I reached Sunway Toll at 8.40 which was not okay at all. Talked to Hamizah along the way thru phone...Yeah.. sometimes life can be so complicated and there will be alot of trials and tribulations that we'll have to face.

The whole morning were spent in the meeting room. CK from Primus Media came to present the VOD Maths proposal as well as Studio A proposal. We had to skip lunch but I'm actually okay with that since I'm going to Shah Alam later for Dr. Burn's class.

I coughed so bad today... I'm a bit embarrased with the situation. Started to work on the Astro Expresi ( Malaysian version ) statistics. And again I'm clueless on how to actually present the data as I'm dealing with millions ( numbers I mean ).

Very happy because Jihan and Aida said that the analysis which I did for TVIQ was so good and covered what they needed. Aida wanted me to print everything to be presented to Richard next week.

I need to really work on the Xpresi stats because the analysis will be presented to the management team as ASTRO is planning to come out with a new channel...

MY DAY...

Yesterday I reached Wisma Penyayang quite early. People started coming in after nine. As always I will browse through my outlook for latest info. I saw a note from Jacky informing that several group of staff will be going to One World Hotel for the Astro Bouquest of Stars Secretaries Week lunch... Did not pay much attention to it as I know that most probably I won't be counted in.

I continued working on the Astro Xpresi stats and at 11.00 went down for the VOD BM meeting with Adi ( the bald producer who always appear in Astro channels ). He showed us the pilot show of VOD Year 6 BM and basically Aida and Kelvin were very happy about it...

BTW, I saw Julie Dahlan and Harry Boy ( the son ) walking out of the building. On the way back to the office, Aida informed that we are going for the lunch...( wow! this is bizarre ).

At exactly 12, we drove to Bandar Utama... I parked my car and waited for Aida, Jihan and Fatin at the hotel lobby. I saw Sarimah ( AF ). Joined Aida later and we headed to our table which is 104.

The food was marvellous, Aznil was the emcee and it was very very entertaining. Then we watched the performance by Zahid, Faizal ( AF4) and Mila. They were good but Faizal might be nervous because it can be obviously seen.

Then, Mawi came in and started to perform... He he he I love this.... Aznil called a kakak to sit on the stage while he sang Only You ( he blindfolded the kakak ) and asked her to guess who is the kezutan that he will bring in.... Guess who ??? DR SMS.....( but he does not look tough enough in person ). Handsome??? Of course......

The last performer was Anita Sarawak and we really had a good time watching her...Indeed she is a real performer because she was sooo energetic, she moved around from table to table and she was sooooo friendly....

The best part was when she approached our table and I tried to take her picture with my Nokia, she called the reporter to take our photo together and she even tried to pull me to dance with her but I refused....

Basically yesterday was memorable enough. Aida said I must have the luck coz since I came in I got the chance to meet many celebrities....

MYYYYYYY DAYYYYYY ....
