GOOD BYE...

Yesterday ( Thursday ) Jihan and I went to JJ and we had Roasted Chicken Salad at Kenny Rogers Roaster. We talked about a lot of things and basically had fun.

Then, as Jihan and Aida went down to interview a girl, I continued printing the Genpak Desa's leaflet. I managed to print about 250 copies of the leaflet and handed them over to Jihan.

We took pictures together and as Richard was upstairs, he joined us for the shoot. I packed all my things and felt quite sad to leave Wisma Penyayang. Mizah said it was " poyo " of me to feel that way. I should face the fact that knowing and leaving would be one of the parts and parcel of life. I don't have any issue with that but I am like that. Like I always tell her, I'm sucks at farewells.

There is nothing else to do today... There are some teenie weenie last touch ups to do as to email Aida, Jihan and Kelvin informing some updates such as :
a. my log in and password - for Vanessa's purpose'
b. my e-mail and phone no. to be contacted
c. latest updates of the interstitials and future Malaysian English programme
d. forward proposal for Robocon ( ?? )

So, I guess...

Good bye...Wisma Penyayang
Good Bye... AESB
Farewell...TVIQ

Till we meet again and may Allah bless all of you...
Thanks for sparing a space for me to learn a lot of new things and thanks for making me feel as part of the team

Yesterday, I joined Jihan and Azlina during lunchtime and we went to Cara Kampung Restaurant. We met Namanzee, Khairul Mizan, Ati and Raqim and we had our lunch together.

Later, I browsed through the internet doing some research works and Jihan asked me to help her in producing the leaflet for Gempak Desa.

Earlier I called up Ilyas to wish him Happy Birthday and later talked to Mizah. Aida told us about her experience in Jakarta.

This morning, we still worked on the leaflet thingy and started to get very annoyed because the more we try to mend things, the more the leaflet looks odd...

Today I planned to do last touch ups to my things and pack them up. Tomorrow will be my last day and today will be my last meeting with Jihan. Sedih la jugak...

NEW THING AT THE END OF THE ROAD...

On Monday, Jihan taught me on how to check the status and version of scheduled programme through the IBMS system. Though it was tedious ( because the system was slow ) but it was great because I got to know how to check for the status of TX ( either it's ready or not ).

Today, I'm not sure what will be assign to me or maybe I'll just spend my day packing up my things... Hu hu... I have only 2 days more here... I received a mail reminding me to keep myself free on Friday because it seems that they will be organising Farewell as well as Birthday treat for me in Le Meridien this Friday...

Jihan told me about the meeting this afternoon with Nizam regarding the presentation for Focus sessions last two weeks.

SHOOTING...

Yesterday ( 24 June 2008 ) I had an on location assignment. Aida had been away for 4 days and will only be back from Jakarta in the evening. Jihan had to attend meetings so it was only me who was available to accompany Javerd and his team for the shooting.

At 11 am, we met up at the entrance of National Science Centre. Azra from Smart Reader Worldwide came a little bit later and directed us to the Quantum Auditorium which will be the location for the Spelling Challenge Writing Contest and there will be another auditorium for the oral section but we cannot get into the hall since there was a conference going on.

Azra explained about the whole event. Basically, Smart Reader Spelling Challenge is designated for 4- 6 young kids and there will be two parts; oral and written. Written will only be about 5 minutes and oral will take longer time. There will be regional level where every centre, nation wide will carry out the contest and the best from each state will be competing in Kuala Lumpur on the 3rd July. What's so special about this event is the kids will not be spelling words as it is normally done but they will do phonics spelling. The children will have to spell the words in English, Malay and Mandarin.

We then decided to meet up at Smart Reader Worldwide's headquarters at 2.00 pm because Javerd will be doing Dr. Wang's interview shoot. When we met up later, Javerd thought of asking me to ask questions to Dr. Wang as if in normal interview session but Azra told us that Dr. Wang has her speech ready and will just speak to the camera. Phew!!! that's better...

Having the opportunity to be involved in such situation was a good and beneficial experience. Every aspect is crucial in a shooting...lighting, angle and even noise... We had to switch off the air cond because it distracted the sound reception...

WOW...IT'S THRILLING...

On Friday, I concentrated on the viewing tasks. Jihan handed over a compilation of TWIN FARM Dvds and informed that RL wanted us to watch the show because he produced them.
We agreed that anything that has twins will always be interesting though they are in BEng.

I went to a Malay stall for lunch and had rice with ikan singgang and daging goreng... Later, as I reached the office, Jasbir called up and informed that somebody wanted to see me. I went down and saw Zahrul, the producer of This is IT was waiting for me at the lobby.

He passed the tape and a copy of This is IT ( first ep ) in CD form. I went up and watched it with Jihan. There has been several changes such as better music and graphic and we kind of like them.

It was so thrilling to see my name appeared on the credit list. Fuuuuhhhh...it was so satisfying though I'm a little bit shy since I didn't involved in the project from the beginning... Thank you...

On Saturday, we went to Midvalley with the children. Kakak Ya was so happy as we took the train and the kids enjoyed themselves. It was funny to see them sleeping all the way back, I guess because they were tired. It was not that frequent we got to see Abang Khaizu in his extra jovial mood.

As requested by the kids and abang Khaizu, I prepared nasi minyak for Sunday lunch. Syamil said macam pergi kenduri kawin. Later, at about 4 Syamil had his second lunch... I was about to start ironing the clothes, last evening when I realised there were a lot of kids in front of the house. I went out to get some clothes peg and was so shocked when I heard Syamil's cried informing that somebody hit him with the rounder's bat.

He was bleeding and his cheek at the lower part of his left eye was swollen. I took him inside and abang Khaizu looked at the wound. He told us that he was watching the kids playing rounders when one of the boys hit the ball and later threw the bat before he started running... He was so upset because the other kids were blaming him for sitting too near to the batting corner... His father put some medication and asked him to rest...

Kakak Ya and adik Naeim loves to fight with each other. I find it very difficult to get them to sit or lie down together without them ending up in a big fight. Nowadays, adik Naeim is good at fighting back. he would pull the sister's hair or pinch the sister hard on her face or hand...

Whatever it is, they are the most precious jewel to me... my lovely children Syamil Nuqman, Shahirah Nafeesa and Syakir Naeim

THANK YOU AND THANK YOU...

I received a call from Mr. Kesavan at about 11.50 in the morning. He informed me that he was in Seri Kembangan town and whether he lost the way. He said he saw the signage to Equine Park and I told him to just drive straight up until he reached the Jaya Jusco and from there I'll lead him the way.

Pn. Masitah texted me informing that she'll be here by 2.30pm and later when Mr. Kesavan called to tell me that he's in Wisma Penyayang but need to get some lunch...I told him to take his time since Pn. Masitah will be here only at 2.30pm

The session went on smoothly and I was so happy when Mr. Kesavan informed he was happy with the good impression given by my supervisor about me.

Indeed I have learnt a lot of things since I came here and it was such a good, beneficial and meaningful experience.

Thank you Aida and Jihan for teaching me a lot

Thank you Richard for being a good and understanding boss ( though I seldom had a chat with you )

Thank you Liza who makes me feel as if I'm part of the team

Thank you JPPKK and PSAS for giving me this opportunity

Thank you Mas and Mr. K for coming all the way to do the visitation

UPDATES ...

On Tuesday ( 18 June 2008 ), I was informed that Puan Masitah and Mr. Keseven will be coming on Thursday for the Attachment visitation. Yesterday ( 19 June ) I spent my morning updating and organising all the materials that I've done throughout the session.

Jihan asked whether I can assist her in writing a letter to Microsoft regarding Gempak Desa. I wrote the draft and passed it to her to be checked. Later, Aida added more points and Jihan then mailed it to Microsoft.

Realising that Pn. Mas and Mr. K might have problems locating AESB, I asked if Jihan had a copy of the map to Wisma Penyayang. Later she informed that she had forwarded the map to my outlook. I knew she must have asked from somebody else.

Aida, Jihan and Richard have been so nice to me for the past 3 months of my stay here... I managed to learn a lot of things because they are always kind enough to share whatever knowledge and skills that they have...

I know, I will miss the fun and new experiences that I've gained here...

BITTER SWEET

TUESDAY ( 18 JUNE 2008 )

Yesterday ( 17.06 ) I managed to hand in the complete programme brochures to Aida and forwarded a copy to Jihan. Then I continued my day by doing extended research for the holidays and celebrations but this time only concentrating in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Later in the evening, Aida asked me to check a letter which she wrote on coming up with proposal for a new project for ASTRO Malaysia and Indonesia.

Received a phone call from Kak Fariza requesting me to print the option 58 form and to be sent to PSAS. Asked Aida whether I can go to PSAS tomorrow and she gave her consent.

I spent my Tuesday in PSAS meeting Kak Fariza and attending the Voices of Technicals sharing session. Basically we have reached the objective of the course though some participants were not happy because they could not accept the truth that have been revealed by one of the speaker on their role as lecturers.

OOHHH... SO EXCITING!!!

I spent my morning on the brochure's project. Managed to finish everything by lunch time. I am quite frustrated when I recieved an email from a representative of CfBT in Brunei informing that they only required teachers who have UK background.

I really hoped that I'll get some good news soon from UNESCO... I need to get out of here... ugh... I mean Malaysia...

Aida informed me that TVIQ will be involved in so many exciting and big projects in the future... It is depressing since I'm leaving soon... Aida is going to Jakarta this Friday to discuss further about the M3 project and also for the Keep It Wild shoot...

It seems that The Smart TVIQ programmes will only be teasers and the actual things will only be aired next year... Aida was a bit dissappointed because as she told me, they were not informed earlier about the change of decision.

Allah...
Give me a chance to try something different and new

Allah ...
fulfill all my request because you are the Most Powerful and Generous... There is no other place for me to ask except to you...

Amin Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin

BILALAH KITA NAK BELAJAR ...

It has been a while since I last write in this blog of mine. The day before ( June, 11 ) I was quite busy viewing the VHS and burning the pilot videos.

Yesterday, as I reached the office, I started to work on the filler project. Aida said I must be busy with something since I was so quite... I managed to mail 16 copies of the proposal for the filler to Aida and Kelvin...

By noon, I was quite hungry and ate my nasi lemak ( which was suppose to be my breakfast ) and Aida later spotted me browsing the McDonald's website. We then decided to go to McD at about 4 but pretended that we were off to a meeting...

Enough of the routine reporting thing... Now, back to reality...

Though I had a very memorable session in Sabah, an incident occurred that basically ripped all my excitement and happiness... I just do not understand why some people can be so spiteful. Its as if you are deliberately back stabbing someone who is ought to be your friend. Friendship can be literally be so deceiving...

Throughout my time out of the campus... I learnt a lot of things... Sincerity, loyalty, willing to learn, hatred, vengenace and many more with in turn hep in maturing me...

It's actually very painful to put everything in writing...but I know this is the only way for me to voice out my feelings....

Allah...

Allah...
jadikan aku orang yang baik dan berguna....

This morning Aida and me went to SJKC Yuk Chai to watch the Discovery Magazines Spelling Contest. This morning was a state level competition and we were very impressed with the way they organised the event.

Later, we went to La Manila for brunch and we talked about a lot of thing. I managed to voiced out my problems to Aida and she was indeed a good listener. She advised me to be strong and patient with whatever trials and tribulations.

Sometimes I do feel sad and dissappointed with all the office politics that are going on but it's not my nature to confront people. Because to me, what's goes around comes around and the best I could do is to just be calm and I don't want those nitty witty things to bother me so much...

JEJAK KASIH

Dua tiga bulan ini aku banyak berjaya menjejak kawan - kawan lama yang dah berbelas - belas tahun tak jumpa.

Raja Eliza Mohana - gang rapat aku semasa kat sekolah menengah. Masih ingat lagi jeritan bebudak lelaki bila setiap kali nampak dia....Fumakila!!!

Kuatlah Chacha... Aku tahu kau kuat...

Zufliha - kali akhir kami jumpa kira - kira 10 tahun lepas dan akhirnya lost contact. Lately baru kami berjaya berjumpa semula. Leha dengan gaya selambanya namun cerdik belajar...

Wan Hasniah aka Washer - si budak tomboy yang sekarang dah bertransformasi jadi anggun ( anggun ke??? ). Khabarnya dah jadi ahli perniagaan berjaya...

Amin

17th MELTA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

It has been a while since I last updated my blog... Been away from 4th June till yesterday. Let me briefly share the things that I've gone through these past few days...

4th June

I woke up earlier that usual. I would be going with Kak Ano and she planned to drop me off at any Monorail or LRT station so that I can continue my journey to KL Central. We used Jalan Tun Razak and Kak Ano dropped me off. Paid 2.50 for the fare to KL Sentral.

Went to Warong Kita to have breakfast and just as I was starting to have it, Gan called asking my whereabout. She joined me but didn't eat anything since she has just taken hers.

Later we bought the KLIA express ticket and went down to Level 1. We reached KLIA at almost 10 and went up to level 5. Gan went to the ladies and I withdrew some money. Later we went to a book store and browsed for story book. A few days ago, while searching for Reaching the Star book, I read the review for The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Sun by Khaled Hosseini. Eventually, Gan was looking for The Kite Runner and I was attracted to get A Thousand Splendid Sun. We came to an agreement that Gan would buy one and so did I and we will exchange after we have read ours.

We boarded the plane at 11.30 but sat separately. I spent the first hour sleeping and the second one reading the story book.

We arrived at Kota Kinabalu nearly 3.00pm. It was a nice scenery from the plane. The airport was just beside the sea and it was picturesque. We took a taxi and went straight to Le Meridien.

Gan was informed that her room was not ready so we decided to go to the Filipino Market. They have a lot of crafts and their specialty, pearls. It was so interesting looking at all the jewelleries. Gan bought a set of necklace and bracelet for over RM 100.00.

Later we registered to the secretariat and I was so shocked to know that though I have made it clear that I am only presenting at Sabah, my name appeared at all the three places. We then went to our room and decided to just settle in.

5th June

The conference started at 8.00 am. Dato' Noor Rezan Bapoo Hashim's speech was splendid. Gan will be presenting this morning and I am to present tomorrow. Yesterday I met Dr. Faizah and her presentation is also today.

I saw a few PKK lecturers but later was even happier to know that 19 of them ( which means all ) were in Le Meridien for the conference. They said they were happy because it was seldom that they got to see somebody from polytechnic present paper at conferences.

That evening we went to Pasar Malam and I bought several bracelets, brooches and baju melayu buttons for my family. I bought a set of necklace and bracelet for Kak Ya. I thought of buying for myself but thinking about how seldom I used them, cancelled the idea.

The participants and presenters were invited for a dinner sponsored by Sabah Ministry of Culture and Tourism. We had so much fun...Gan and Dr. Faizah joined them for their dance. I got some books for the lucky dip... Then we took photos...

6th June

I was so nervous because I'm presenting today. At 1.45pm I went to Gaya room and get everything ready. My session will be at 2.35pm...Later, a few people started to enter the room and by 2.40pm, the room was half full with spectators.

I started by introducing myself and telling them my experience in teaching and later on witht he actual presentation... Everything went well... Praise to Allah and I was so happy...

7th June

I'm leaving Kota KInabalu today. But I promised that some day I'll be back and I'm planning to bring the whole family together with me...

COUNTDOWN TO REALITY...

We went to Kak Ano's place last night. Earlier we stopped by at Kak Errie's house to fetch Salwa and Farah but it seems only Salwa will be following us.

Adik Naeim seems to forget things easily. He refused to respond to Aida's calling and this somehow dissappoint her. As we are getting ready for bed, then only we realised that we left adik's feeding bottle. Khaizu been creative by coming up with a bottle from an empty soy bean container ( he he he )

This morning, I finished up my work on Interview Protocol for Gain Family Discovery Camp. And later, as I finished the task, I continued doing the final touches to my Melta Presentation Slide. I plan to do some reading and revision tonight at Kak Ano's place.

After lunch, we viewed the Pilot Video for SPM Science & English and PMR English and I was required to make 3 more copies for each original video. Jihan is going to teach me on how to burn the CDs later before she quickly get her lunch.

Aida wanted me to join the meeting with Liza and Oasis people because they are discussing on producing a new women show and basically it will be a join production between TVIQ and Oasis. Aida wanted me to sit in and give ideas...

I have to finish everything by today because tomorrow I'll be flying off to Kota Kinabalu for the conference. I pray to Allah that everything will be fine... Hopefully I will be able to deliver everyhting eloquently. Please Ya Allah... Help me so that I can present my ideas in a good way.

MONDAY BLUE...

It has been a while since we've gone back to Raub. Eventually, we missed each other very much. Aki looks happy when I shook his hands. He look s a bit weak and I know his aging. Don't know how much more time do we have to spend with each other. Wan also looks excited to see my children running and kissing her.

Ngah commented on how rapid Naeim has grown and asked few questions to Syamil and Kak Ya who were very interested to go to the fish pond. We shared updates and later I informed Mak to get ready if she really insisted on going to Kak Long's house in Jerantut.

We reached Jerantut at about 8.00 pm. Irfan, Afnan and Harman were screaming and shouting when they saw me at the gate. Kak Long said she thought they were making up stories when they were shouting my name... Kak Long just shifted to her newly bought house. Khaizu was really impressed with the price and the size of the house. Cantikkkk...he commented.

Yesterday, I was busy at work with the translation of Pesona Rindu series. By 12.00 noon I managed to complete everything and immediately passed them to Kiren. Then I went to Jusco to buy the contact lenses which I needed most. Ended up buying a pair of blouse and pants as well as few other things...

Went back to the office and view some screeners. Aida came in and told us that his nephew who was involved in the accident last week, passed away. Apparently 4 out of the 5 people passed away already.

Aida requested me to do some research on Dr. SMS and I quickly googled for related information. Then I remembered about the book that was newly launched on him. Later that day I went to IOI Mall to get the book. I managed to buy it and was so happy. Then only, when I was driving back, I realised that instead of buying the English version, I took a BM one.

Finished reading the book and was so amazed by the will and spirit shown by SMS's family and how close their relationship is. He must have missed the brother so much because they were so close together...

I found a new life in space but lost a dear one over here ....
Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor about Ajil
