HELLO...

GETTING TO KNOW YOU
It's a very ancient saying,
But a true and honest thought,
That if you become a teacher,
By your pupils you'll be taught.
As a teacher I've been learning (You'll forgive me if I boast)
And I've now become an expert,
On the subject I like most. Getting to know you.
Getting to know you, getting to know all about you.
Getting to like you, getting to hope you like me.
Getting to know you, putting it my way, But nicely,
You are precisely, My cup of tea.
Getting to know you, Getting to feel free and easy.
When I am with you, Getting to know what to say
Haven't you noticed Suddenly I'm bright and breezy
Because of all the beautiful and new Things
I'm learning about you Day by day
I really love this song, which is actually one of the several songs contain in the musical movie of The King and I. It was a classic movie about Mrs. Anna Leonowens who was an English lady who taught the children of King Mongkut of Siam. It was indeed a nice movie, though it was a classic, I always enjoy watching it.
After a long holiday ( about 3 months ), I had to admit feeling a little bit nervous going to the classes during the first meeting. Except DTK 6, this semester I did not get to teach my previous students. It was rather intimidating going to DAT 2A and 2B on Monday. I planned to carry out some communicative activities with the students. Alhamdulillah... everything went smoothly as planned and the children looked happy ( I supposed ).
I am quite busy with my Quality works as well as translation of PSAS portal tasks. At the same time, I am pretty much preocccupied with the time table and my Masters project. Next week ( 22 - 25 July 2008 ), I will be away for the CPCM course ( Creative Thinking ) in PSA... Guess there'll several replacement classes to be done...

NEW SEMESTER NEW PLAN NEW FACES...EVERYTHING NEW

July 2008 semester began on the 07th July with me involving in the registration process for the Semester One students. I came across several students with good English result. To name a few, I met Azmir, an Orang Asli student from Ipoh who obtained A1 for both his English and GCE O Level plus his EST.

The other thing that I realised was most of the students scored good grade in their Mathematics. So hey... what are all the fuss about teaching Maths and Science in English that was said to be uneffective?

The next day, I was quite busy with the senior students' registration. Several of my PA students did not turn up for the registration due to their personal problems.

The whole week I was quite preoccupied with preparing the materials for FRP briefing as well as going through the new Quality documents.

It seems that I will be teaching Semester 2, 3 and 6 in both Commerce and Electrical Department.
